Acceptable Use Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
ValidationCheck is for keeping fake, mistyped, and risky contact details out of your systems: cleaning sign-ups and lead lists, stopping fraud, and making sure messages reach real people. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Not allowed
- Eligibility decisions about people. Don't use results as a factor in decisions about credit, employment, housing, insurance, education, or government benefits, or for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws. We are not a consumer reporting agency.
- Do Not Call and litigator scrubbing. We don't offer Do Not Call registry or litigator checks, and our results must not be used or presented as a substitute for them. Telephone marketing compliance (TCPA and similar) is your responsibility.
- Spam and unwanted contact. Don't use the Service to build, verify, or clean lists for unsolicited bulk email, texts, or calls, or to find working contact details for people who haven't agreed to hear from you.
- Surveillance and harassment. Don't use it to locate, track, stalk, harass, or dox anyone, or to infer sensitive traits (health, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, political views).
- Unlawful data. Don't send personal data you have no lawful basis to process, or data obtained illegally.
- Reselling. Don't resell or redistribute results as a standalone data product without a partner agreement.
- Abusing the Service. Don't try to get around rate limits, credits, or free-plan limits (including by making multiple accounts), probe or attack our systems or our providers, scrape our data sets, or use the Service to build a competing one.
- Anything illegal, or that infringes others' rights.
If something goes wrong
We may suspend keys or accounts that break this policy, with notice where we reasonably can, and we may report illegal activity. If you think someone is misusing ValidationCheck, email support@validationcheck.net.
